“Outlook for Investment Markets”
We arranged the first investment market “outlook” as a direct response to Forum attendee feedback that a session on this important topic, the asset side of the balance sheet, was long overdue, given our usual focus on the liability side. The event took place in February 2020, just as “Coronavirus” started to feature in the media. Shortly thereafter the first lockdown was declared and life changed dramatically! Who thought then that we would still be living under Covid-19 restrictions two years later? In this webinar we ask our speakers to look back on this turbulent period and give us their views on the outlook for the immediate future in the key investment market segments.
We are pleased to have received support from three key players in planning this Forum; Cazenove, will cover the equity sector, New England Asset Management (NEAM) the fixed income sector and Knight Frank the commercial property sector.
Given Government “work from home” guidance, this Forum will take place as a webinar. It is hoped that a return to in-person events will be possible within the next few months.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Following this Webinar delegates should, at a high level, be able to:
• Describe what happened in the three market sectors during the past two years since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
• Recognise the importance of the major asset classes within an investment portfolio and identify the key drivers of market conditions in each
• Learn how asset classes are expected to perform from 2022 onwards.
Users will be able to login 15 minutes before the session begins at 4pm and will also be able to submit questions to the panellists during the Webinar.
Delegates must register to attend this event in the usual way via the WCI website. In giving your consent to WCI to include your data in the delegate pack, we will assume that your consent extends, on this occasion, to sharing your name, job title, company name and email address with the speakers. As usual, the event will be recorded as CII may, for example, wish to review the recording as part of our annual CPD re-accreditation application.
This iNED Forum is open to insurance Non-executive Directors (iNEDS), aspiring iNEDS, Company Secretaries, Compliance staff and all those involved with corporate governance, underwriting, broking and risk management in the insurance sector.
There is no requirement for delegates to be members of the Worshipful Company of Insurers
