iNED Forum - Outlook for Investment Markets

15:30 - 17:30
Lloyd's Old Library, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA

Our first Forum in the 2020 iNED programme will cover the outlook for investment markets in the year ahead.   This is a direct response to consistent feedback from Forum attendees that a session on investment markets, the asset side of the balance sheet, was long overdue, given our normal focus on the liability side.

We are pleased to have received support from three key firms in their respective markets in planning this Forum;

J.P. Morgan will cover the equity sector;
New England Asset Management (NEAM) the fixed income sector; and
Knight Frank the commercial property sector.

The question of strategic asset allocation will also be discussed.

Outline learning objectives:
Recognise the importance of the major asset sectors within an investment portfolio and how each is expected to perform in 2020.
Distinguish between the major investment sectors and understand the key drivers of market conditions in each.
Be in a position to apply the knowledge gained in board discussions on investment portfolio matters.
Gain an insight into strategic asset allocation as a portfolio strategy.
